It was founded by Iman Baktash, a Persian-heritage veteran of the rug trade with over eight years in the business.

No. We are a trade publication and directory, not a store. We do not sell rugs. Instead, we connect you with the manufacturers, retailers, and service businesses that do, through our directory.

Our editorial focus is the U.S. rug market, but the directory is global: rug manufacturers and suppliers worldwide can list alongside U.S. retailers and service businesses.

You provide the copy. Our editors review it against our quality and editorial standards, then publish it, always labeled 'Sponsored.' We do not rewrite your message or edit factual claims about your products, but we may request changes if something risks misleading readers.

Yes. Every sponsored article and paid placement is clearly labeled as sponsored or as an advertisement. We never run undisclosed paid content.

Sponsored articles are published like any other article, indexed by Google, and remain on the site indefinitely.

No. You can read the news, browse the directory, and submit a free listing without an account. Advertisers and listing owners can create an account to manage their listings and purchases.

Use the sign-up link to create an account, and the forgot-password link on the sign-in page if you need to reset your password.

Purchases are handled through Stripe, a leading, PCI-compliant payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.

If we cannot run a placement you paid for, you are refunded in full. For other refund questions, contact hello@rugindustry.com.
